The day after it all demonstrates to what extent the present is where our focus should lie given that the future and the way we approach its challenges take shape right here and now. This is why this year the Biennial closes with a Poetic Manifesto for the Present to create a dialogue with the Manifesto for the Future that Enric Casasses presented during the 2020 edition. It is manifold and multidisciplinary, woven from the questions that writers, activists, poets, and musicians will try to respond to on stage:

Why is remembering essential to building the present? What should today’s community look like? With what lyrics and from what standpoint can we sing love today? How can we collectively celebrate the present? Why is it key to rethink our relationships with others and the environment? What role does friendship play as a refuge amidst so much uncertainty? Why do we need imagination? And poetry?

With the participation of authors David Uclés, Paula Ducay, and Miqui Otero; poet Josep Pedrals; activist Míriam Hatibi; and musicians Anna Andreu, Laia Vallès, and Joana Gomila.
