Las hijas de Felipe

Podcast on historical gossip, baroque dramas and forgotten lives

Ana Garriga and Carmen Urbita call themselves Las Hijas de Felipe (Felipe’s daughters), a name with which they started their podcast in 2020 to explore the forgotten corners of the Baroque period. Their motto? “Whatever is happening to you now, already happened to someone in the 16th and 17 centuries”. Since their debut, they have collaborated with A Vivir (SER); contributed to media such as Smoda, CTXT, and La Marea; participated in various artistic creation festivals; and collaborated with Museo del Prado and Spain’s Patrimonio Nacional on dissemination activities.  In 2025, they will publish Sabiduría de Convento: Cómo las Monjas del Siglo XVI Pueden Salvar tu Vida del Siglo XXI (Convent Wisdom: How 16th Century Nuns Can Save your Life in the 21st Century) with Blackie Books and publishing houses from nine other countries.
