Hundreds of billions of personal data of internet users have been, are, and will continue to be extracted from the digital sphere. Information about our behaviour, our habits, health, desires, fears...

We know that this huge volume of profiles is used by large technological platforms as an economic resource and by certain governments as a mechanism for control and manipulation.

During this debate, moderated by ICT journalist Karma Peiró, we will look at what a world where data makes social sense and is not at the service of capital would look like.  What forms of governance should be developed? Should there be biometric surveillance? How should databases be inclusive, feminist, anti-racist and not constructed and extracted with a colonialist or classist bias? With the participation of Bruna Martins Dos Santos and Thais Ruiz de Alda.
