She is a professor in Artificial Intelligence, Governance and Policy at the Oxford Internet Institute (OII). She researches how datafication is transforming the world from a social, economic and political perspective.

Drawing on her background as a mathematician and computer scientist, her interest lies in researching power relations in algorithmic governance and how public and private actors are fuelling the future with artificial intelligence in fields such as migration or gender-based violence.
