The Biennial calls on a series of voices to ask questions, break silences, articulate discourses that will lead us towards a future that is completely decolonised, beyond the geographical, political and economic fact, and also paying attention to cultural, psychological and emotional phenomena.
Itineraries of the Biennial of Thought 2022
The programme of the Biennial of Thought is intense and extensive, full of moments of great interest. As a complement to the chart and to help distinguish the sessions that best suit personal predilections, we have prepared a series of small guides called itineraries. Each one of them refers to a theme or approach that is of notable relevance in this year's edition.

ITINERARY. Colonial survival. Wounds still open

ITINERARY +Biennial. The programme of the entities that are always there
The city has a network of institutions and initiatives that regularly keep the flame of critical thought and civic debate burning. The +Biennial is built with the latter entities, a parallel programme that should not be overlooked.
-
ITINERARY. The war that is shaking Europe and the world
It was unthinkable that the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the multiple readings they arouse would be omitted from this year's Biennale, so a handful of sessions approach it. From various angles, with multiple authoritative voices, all of them of international relevance.
-
ITINERARY. The youngest Biennial
A programme that is free and open access, inclusive, and with themes that radiate the present, but above all are projected towards the future, seem to be the keys to success. But there is also an effort to design some of the sessions so that they directly appeal to young people.
-
ITINERARY. Technologies for the common good
It is well known that every technological revolution brings with it profound changes. Consequently, it is necessary to discuss how they affect and will affect current trends and developments in our daily lives, both in an individual dimension and, above all, in a more macro dimension, i.e. in the shaping of present and future societies.
-
ITINERARY. Artistic languages
Different cultural manifestations have proven to be as effective, if not more so: a film, a fiction, the verse of a song, has often mobilised more people than a lecture by a great international expert. That is why the Biennial of Thought incorporates a certain diversity of formats, and sessions using various artistic languages are part of the programme.
-
ITINERARY. Democracy under scrutiny
It is pertinent to question democracy and its capacities. Analyse the cracks in it, take the temperature of its present evolution and, if possible, try to project it in the medium and long term.

ITINERARY. The city we want
Architecture and urban planning are much more than the decoration of our lives. Their role transcends the aesthetic component, it conditions us, it aspires to make our lives easier and more pleasant, it helps to define us individually and collectively.
