Moving forward, what possibilities exist for Catalonia’s relationship with the rest of Spain? When it seemed that all the possibilities created at the time of the Spanish transition to democracy had run out, the independence movement started to gain speed. Some years later and still a solution has not been found with the rest of Spain that appeases the critical views of the current system. Does a better relationship exist? Is it possible or even worth seeking? Why is it so hard for us to picture it? Who can drive it and how?
Núria Orriols, journalist and political scientist, will moderate a debate with Marc Sanjaume, professor in political theory, and Javier Pérez Royo, full professor in constitutional law, around the different existing possibilities, their legal feasibility, and the advantages and disadvantages of each one.
