Literary translator and lecturer at the University of Barcelona, he is also a member of the Slavic Studies Seminar at Pompeu Fabra University. He is a member of the Board of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC- Association of Catalan Language Writers), vice president of the European Council of Literary Translators’ Associations (CEATL), and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Barcelona Culture Council.  With a degree in Slavic Philology and a PhD in Linguistics, he has published around forty translations of narratives and theatre works from authors such as Andrei Platonov, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Lyudmila Petrushevskaya, Mikhaïl Lermontov, Serguei Dovlatov, and Marina Tsvetaeva. In the academic world, he teaches classes in the fields of linguists, translation, and Russian literature. He received the 2014 Vidal Alcover Prize for his translation of Petersburg by Andrei Bely.  He has recently translated into Catalan Crime and Punishment (La Casa dels Clàssics, 2021), Poor Folk (Cal Carré, 2021), and A Gentle Creature (Angle, 2021) by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, as well as short stories by Serguei Dovlatov (LaBreu Edicions 2021).
