“J’avance masqué” is an expression by Georges Perec to refer to the work of documenting one’s own existence. In this round table, we will ask playwright Carlota Subirós and the director of Museu Tàpies to discuss the promise of freedom associated with the artistic practice of the “self” and its reference within a social, historical, and political context. How can a certain experience of freedom be possible in concrete artistic practices? Why do we assume that the subjectivity of art can provide access to collective life? The debate will be moderated by Deputy Director of the UPF-BSM Oriol Montanyà.
