To talk about culture is inevitably a heartfelt act: Cultural practices and disciplines of our era intersect, nourish one another, and open new paths although they struggle to find meaning to the contemporary human subject.  Catalan culture is no exception, and in the last few years it has become increasingly clearer that it generates and participates in global conversations as much as it consumes.

During this session, presented by Imma Prieto, director of Museu Tàpies, and Pere Almeda, director of Institut Ramon Llull, we will present A Camp Obert. Pràctiques Culturals Contemporànies, a book under the direction of Josep Ramoneda and Raül Garrigasait and co-published by Arcàdia and the Institut Ramon Llull with the collaboration of Chiara Bottici, Simona Škrabec, Boris Groys, Perejaume, Katie Mitchell, Roger Bernat, Joan Magrané, Antònia Folguera, Carles Novellas, Enric Palau, Albert Serra, Olivier Pere, Eva Franch, Carolina Ciuti, Michele Gazzola, Gemma De les Coves, and Arcadi Navarro.

From new mythologies to a reflection on artificial intelligence, from theatre to architecture, cinema to artistic and literary creation, from sociolinguistics to science and technology, A Camp Obert. Pràctiques Culturals Contemporànies presents a series of essays that, from both local and international perspectives, bring us closer to the heterogenous, contradictory, and ever-changing reality that is 21st century culture.

Activity organized by Institut Ramon Llull and Arcàdia.
