Can we take advantage of the genesis of metaverses as a second chance to build and improve the societies we have on the analogue plane? Is there a way to escape the inequalities and undesirable realities we know today?

We approach this session with an artivist look at the options of Metavers. First, Uncensored Library, the library made in Minecraft by the agency DDB in collaboration with Reporters Without Borders, which contains several reports banned in countries such as Mexico, Russia, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Next, Technologies of Hope and Fear is a compilation by Tactical Tech of 100 data-driven, machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies developed, commercialised and deployed to mitigate the pandemic and help societies "get back to normal".

Finally, the multidisciplinary collective Matriu.id, which researches forms of virtual reality that can acquire human values, such as Ware (We Are Recreating Existence), a techno-theatrical piece in which artificial intelligence develops a learning system to try to save as many users as possible, with whom it has fallen in love.
