Pol Jiménez
Dancer and choreographer
Artist trained in Spanish dance and flamenco, always in search of new codes and questions of the contemporary scene and thought to nourish his creations. He studied Spanish dance at the Professional Dance Conservatory of Barcelona, which he represented as a choreographer at the 2013 International Assembly in Toronto organised by the National Ballet School of Canada, and at the Andalusian Dance Centre in Seville.
Despite his youth, he has an intense career as a dancer and choreographer, working with companies and choreographers such as La Fura dels Baus, Cesc Gelabert, Juan Carlos Lérida, José Manuel Álvarez, Ángel Rojas and Mdvd. He is a member of the musical group Los Aurora. He has premiered his productions at the Mercat de les Flors, Sala Hiroshima and Feria Mediterránea de Manresa, with which he has won awards as Best Dancer at the Premios de la Crítica de las Artes Escénicas 2018 and at the XXV Premios Butaca. He is currently touring with his latest production Lo faunal and coordinates the cycles Se avecina at Pla Roig and Cronexiones at La Tacones.
