Susan Neiman is a leading philosopher and author. She has been a Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton and a Fellow at the Rockefeller Foundation Study Center in Bellagio. She was also a Senior Fellow of the American Council of Learned Societies. Neiman is currently a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and the American Philosophical Society. He has written nine books, translated into 15 languages, which have won awards from PEN and the American Academy of Religion. Her writings have appeared in publications such as The New York Times and The Guardian. Neiman, a mother of three, lives in Berlin.
