Clara Serra
Researcher and author of El sentido de consentir
Clara Serra is a researcher, feminist activist, and former deputy of the Assembly of Madrid. She currently works as a researcher at ADHUC (Research Centre for Theory, Gender, and Sexuality of the University of Barcelona), where she is a part of the teaching staff. She is an instructor in subjects related to gender and feminism, and her research focuses on the construction and representation of identities and on masculinity studies. She is a member of the group Malas Feministas.
She has a Master in Advanced Philosophy Studies from Complutense University and a Master in Interdisciplinary Studies of Gender from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She headed the Equality Department of Podemos since its beginnings and up until 2017. She is the author of several books including Leonas y Zorras. Estrategias Políticas Feministas (Catarata, 2018), Manual Ultravioleta (Penguin Random House, 2019) and El Sentido de Consentir (Anagrama, 2024), and periodically publishes opinion articles in the media such as El País.
