She is a social anthropologist and teacher in the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of Barcelona (UB), where she teaches Economic and Urban Anthropology. She is also a board member of the Observatory on Economic, Social, Cultural and Environmental Rights (DESC).

Her main research interests revolve around debt and credit relations, anthropological visions of finance and the political economy of housing.
