Computational biologist with artistic practices. Her academic career began with a BSc in Computer Science, followed by an MSc in Plant Biology, both at the University of Austin, and a PhD in Bioinformatics at the University of Barcelona (UB). Her research is influenced by her fascination with the ways in which living things interact with their environment. As a result, she has written several scientific articles in specialised journals, as well as projects with landscape architects and artistic work at the MIT Media Lab.

Some of her recent work includes the design for the bioremediation of a local toxic site, which won a design competition, as well as producing an exhibition and a scientific publication.

She has recently exhibited at Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York and the Detroit Science Gallery and is an adjunct professor in the Technology, Culture and Society department at NYU Tandon School of Engineering in New York City.
