For some years now, research centres and technological institutions have been incorporating programmes to make contact with the art world. The Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) have worked together with the programme S+T+ARTS Repairing the Present and are now proposing a session to disseminate their results and publicise good practices in this field. The conference will take place at the Vèrtix building on the UPC's North Campus on 11 October 2022 and is open to everyone. Participants will include protagonists of the day to day of art combined with technology and there will be a round table with leading institutions in technology, which have artist-in-residence programmes.
On the 13th the programme is rounded off with a workshop where we will delve together into engaging experiences made possible by combinations of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. We will have several groups to jointly devise and create experiences and artworks with a variety of tools and approaches. As a result of the workshop, we will have a gallery of our own creations. The workshop welcomes students, teachers, artists, scientists, musicians, engineers, mathematicians, programmers and decision makers to join this creative collaborative experience!
