Marine biologist, ornithologist, and activist, Taïme Smit Pellure has worked with ocean conservation projects including the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society in Mexico and Salvar Fonsalía in Canary Islands waters. More recently, she has been working with Ocean Missions in Iceland for the conservation of Sub-Arctic waters and is also cofounder of the platform Acción Océanos, which aims to open the discussion about seas, the issues of fishing, diversity of marine systems, marine acoustics and, in particular, how they are connected with humans at every level.
