Núria Bendicho Giró, who has a degree in Philosophy, is a voracious reader, admirer of William Faulkner, and spent her youth travelling and reading in libraries. Her first novel, Terres mortes (Dead Lands, Anagrama, 2021; also published in Spanish by Sajalín Editores 2022), is a gothic family story in which the rural landscape is one of the characters. This debut work was among the finalists for the Libretti, Òmnium, and Finestres prizes.
